Multi-Day Institutes: Chapman University
Heinemann Institutes and Chapman University's Department of Extended Education are pleased to offer an Independent Study Practicum. After satisfactory completion of your workshop, you can enroll in an independent study practicum to earn 1-3 semester units of graduate elective credit. Note: these credits are professional development units that are not part of a degree program but instead are primarily used for professional advancement (such as salary increment steps and recertification).

- Course Work:
You are required to submit a 1 page paper. Additional work and assignments are required depending on how many credits you choose. The details can be found here:
- Registration Deadline:
You may enroll for the Chapman University Practicum as soon as you have received your workshop certificate of attendance. Submit your registration form within 3 months after completing the workshop (at least two weeks before you submit your coursework.)
- Number/Type of Credits:
1-3 semester units of graduate elective credit; these credits receive a letter grade.
- Fees:
There is a fee of $65.00 for 1 credit, $130.00 for 2 credits, and $195.00 for 3 credits.
- Payment Method:
Credit fees are payable in full at registration by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) or check. Chapman University also accepts purchase orders, however you MAY NOT combine the fees for Heinemann Multi-Day Institutes and Chapman University on the same purchase order or check.
- Submit your registration form ASAP after completing the workshop (at least two weeks before you submit your coursework.)
Chapman will accept registrations by mail, phone, and fax. You must provide a copy of your certificate of attendance.

You will be provided with an official transcript request form, you can download a transcript request form from this page: transcript information.
